With Fay passing through and leaving us pretty soaked, I am wondering if she also left me tadpoles.
I know. Sounds weird.
But look.

Those are tadpoles. Tadpoles in my hot tub. How else did they get there? Before Fay, hubby was fixing the tub so it was only half full of water. After Fay, it was completely full and had tadpoles. I don't honestly see how those big ugly toads could have possibly "hopped on in" and let out a bunch of babies. Seriously. We have had turtles in our pool after big storms and even after a hurricane or two, so it wouldn't totally surprise me. (We just put the turtles back in the pond, amazingly, the trip never killed them)
I just think it's weird.
Anyway ....
This is the beginning of my "Week of Recouperation". Hubby went west until Thursday night sometime. Megan, however, did not go to school.
The kid is sick. She has had a sore throat since Thursaday night. This morning, it is a full blown cold and hacking cough. When I went in at 6 to check on her (her alarm clock was ringing), she was snoring through it. I shut it off and went back to bed. I figured, if she woke up and wanted to go, I would take her. Otherwise, she can stay home. There really is no point in a sick kid going to school. I am sure the teachers don't appreciate it. I know she has a test tomorrow, but I made her bring all her work home on the weekend, so she can at least study another day.
So, it looks like my little vaycay is on hold, yet one more day.

My cousin lives in Orlando and he found in his pool too! Fay must have just sucked up some swamp water on her way and threw it all back up.
Sorry to hear Megan is not feeling well. I will say a prayer that she's better soon. xxoo
Hope Megan is soon feeling well again.
WOW tadpoles in the hot tub??? how weird!
I like it better when it's raining men.
Hope the little one is better soon.
WHUT?!! Tadpoles? That's too funny. Now what?
Poor Megan. Kids seem to get sick after they are all reunited in the fall. Germ season begins, LOL. Better to keep them home when they feel rotten.
